To clean and lubricate the hardware of a sliding closet door use a stiff brush a toothbrush or a hand vacuum to clean dust from the tracks. Use an aerosol lubricant to lubricate all the door rollers. If the bracket is too low or sunk below carpeting remove the door and the bracket.

To start loosen the top pivot bracket setscrew with a screwdriver. The door edge and frame should line up. Slide the bracket in the track until the door is parallel to the jamb. Adjust the bottom bracket.
