A successor of the primus 162 the 163 is a slightly better designed version of its predecessor. The p163 does not sound at all like the primus 150. These mmd drivers consist of a stiff aluminum core anodized on both sides for increased strength and rigidity. It may be an overkill for smaller speakers but the ones that i bought were about 15x8x11 in dimension and weighed about 16pounds. One would expect the familial infinity primus characteristics very bright limited dynamic range and sudden harshness and compression at the extremes but despite it s obviously similar look this is something new. I used this to put my 2 bookshelf speakers on the wall infinity primus p163.

I ordered a p153 recently 5 more than the lowest price i saw for the p143. The mount and bracket is sturdy and has a sleek finish. I likely have at least a few more weeks to wait for that one.
